Everything began...

...in October, when I realised that the money I have for making this film in school doomed me to HDV format. Obviously you could say that a good film will always defend itself, no matter on what it will be shoot. You could say that but I say that the film base could really contribute to the reception of the film by the audience as well as to its distribution. Because I put a lot of faith in this project I would like something more of it - I would like to see this film on a big screen, even the only single time at the première. It is a dream worth spending a couple of thousands for.

The cheapest film base available for the big screen. Right from the beginning I was aware of many restrictions resulting form it. I knew that I will have only 3 doubles on the set, that vast amount of money will be spent for equipment and post-production, that everything will be very risky and many things may fail on even before the set. Many people dissuaded me from it but I thought to myself: I am making film for the big screen. This is something worth taking a risk.

I took the risk

It was hard at the beginning. My school withdrawn from the project and I decided to produce this film on my own through my association. I had no money at the start. I knew that if it want to succeed I have to raise at least a couple of thousands. I could not count for any revenues from the film, because an only 15-20 minute story would be impossible to sell and thus unprofitable. Investing in this film is actually a charity. Knowing how hard it would be to persuade someone to invest at least several thousands, I decided to convince many individuals to invest little sums. And that's why this website was created, developed every week, offering more and more ways to support my film by people all around the world.

It's happening

Many people didn't believe that it would work, but it does. Many people, most of them completely unknown for me, trusted me and invested their money in the film. Now we are after the shooting: we assembled excellent crew who cooperated well with the team on the set. And the shooting was possible thanks to hundreds of people who supported our film through the website as well as companies who offered us their services half-price or even for free. Media also contributed to this success as we owe them the widest promotional campaign in off-cinema history.

Future

There's still a long way to go but thanks to this website and people, who put their trust in me, we are getting every day closer to finish. For the post-production we need as much as we spent on the shootings. We persist with efforts to find a sponsor. Première after summer.
